PainScale Recognizes International Nerve Pain Awareness Month
November is International Nerve Pain Awareness Month, and the first Monday of November is Color The World Orange™ Day for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Awareness. PainScale is proud to participate in these events to promote awareness of nerve pain and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
The history of International Nerve Pain Awareness month
In 2007, the International Pain Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, established a campaign in November to spread awareness about certain types of nerve pain. In 2009, Barby Ingle created the term “Nervemeber®” (a registered trademark of the International Pain Foundation) to link November with the nerve pain awareness campaign. Over the years, the awareness movement has expanded from focusing on a few nerve pain conditions to any condition involving nerve pain.
PainScale honors International Nerve Pain Awareness Month.
PainScale recognizes International Nerve Pain Awareness Month by posting new articles about types, causes, treatments, and new research regarding nerve pain.
